Did you know that, in some parts of Africa, beating drums are used to communicate messages across long distances? The message travels swiftly from one village to another as drummers in each village hear and pass on the message to the next. Frankly, we'd prefer to communicate via drums, even though I'm (Gayle) really an awful drummer. Failing that, you can contact us any of the following ways.

This image is of Asanti Dance Group from Cape Coast practicing at Bakaano some years ago. They made such an impact locally that children, on their way home from school, crowded in the doorway and in the windows all around the hut to watch, clap and join in! The drummers in the photo are Afotey and Kofi, who you can meet and take lessons from in Cape Coast.
